DVR Viewer - CCTV Systems Tutorial
UPDATED FOR 2024!
- Double click on the CMS DVR viewer security camera programme icon on your desktop.
- Click on OK on the Login screen. (You will see a User Name and a Password field but you don’t have to enter anything.)
- Wait a few seconds and then your programme should display.
- Connect to your CCTV installation by double clicking on the Device in the top left of your screen. If you’ve done it correctly, you’ll see a list of your cameras just below your device.
- Double click on whatever camera you want to watch. If you want to see several cameras at once then double click on an option under the Multi Preview heading. (For example on my home setup it’s 1-4, which means view cameras 1 thru 4.
- To enlarge to the biggest view possible either double click on the camera image, or click on the left hand square beneath the display screen (View 1).
- Now click on the rest of the boxes beneath the display screen to see how they display the image in different ways.
- To watch a different camera or combination of cameras just double click on their name on the list top left. A WORD OF WARNING. A real ‘trap for young players’ is getting stuck in View Full. That’s the one on the far right. To get back to the normal views again you need to click on your Right mouse button and select Main Desktop. Hitting Escape or double clicking won’t work but this will.
